YAY! I’ll Have Another could be another triple crown winner! I’m excited about the possibility, even though my formerly favorite writer for the New York Times (Joe Drape) will use the win as another reason to drag horse racing through the mud.

The ultrasound this morning showed that she is indeed in foal to the gorgeous and talented Tapit! Those two will doubtless make a beautiful baby. A beautiful, FAST baby.

I Had Another, and then I Had Another, and then I Had Another…

… which resulted in a hangover. But a happy one. This morning I was kicking myself, going, “Why didn’t I play the tri and super? The winners were right there in my exacta!” Then I counted out what that tri would’ve cost to bet. $180. Hah! Now I feel great about getting the exacta and WPS.

Happy Derby Day, people!

The big day is finally here! Who do you like? I like too many horses, and it’s 8 hours away; I’ve already wagered $65. Eek! I hope I get some of it back. My top faves are Creative Cause, Union Rags, Gemologist and I’ll Have Another. I wish there were 50 cent tris and dime supers on this race; I’ve put many horses on the bottom of my giant exacta wheel. Good luck on your bets, and let me know who you like! Let’s hope they all finish safely.
